The Committee
The Georgy Awards became an incorporated entity in 2011 and is run by a committee of volunteers who work tirelessly each year to bring the awards ceremony to life. At present the committee consists of the following volunteers:

The committee is supported by graphic design studio, PRINTworks to produce the yearly presentation’s certificates, nominee slips, winner envelopes and associated marketing collateral.
The Venues for the Georgy Awards
The inaugural Georgy Awards were held at the Hotel Victoria in Shepparton, and over the years the ceremony has moved between various venues across the region. During the period when presentations were split into separate Senior and Junior ceremonies, the Senior awards were held at venues including Amber Court Receptions and TAFE’s Harder Auditorium, whilst the Junior presentations took place at Wesley Church Hall, Shepparton High School Hall and The Maude Street Mall.
In 2002, the awards were reunited into a single ceremony combining both Senior and Junior sections, held at WestSide Performing Arts Centre, Mooroopna. The 2010 ceremony took place at the Paramount Theatre, Echuca.
From 2011 to 2023, the awards were presented at the Eastbank Centre, Shepparton or WestSide Performing Arts Centre, Mooroopna. Since 2024, the ceremony has rotated between venues across the region, returning to Shepparton every three years.
